The Fairway Creamery in Fairway Kansas is one of the most variety donut places in Kansas City. They offer donuts, coffee, and ice cream. You can make a one stop shop at the Fairway Creamery. You can start your path at the coffee and donut shop, You take a gaze at the donut selection and see a regular glazed donut with its shiny, sticky glaze and think that that is the one to get, but then your eye spots the chocolate glazed with sprinkles. You do not know which one to pick because they both look so good so you get both of them. You decide to sit outside and enjoy both of those donuts and coffee on a bright Sunday afternoon. Once you have finished your hot coffee with a little bit of hazelnut cream you make your way back into the shop. This time you do not get coffee and donuts but make your way to the ice cream stand because your donut did not fulfill your sweet tooth. You look at your options, salted caramel, blueberry cheesecake, and chocolate swirl are your top three. You decide on salted caramel because you want a little taste of salt. You head back to the same spot you were earlier and enjoy your delicious ice cream. Unfortunately, Fairway Creamery does not deliver like other places but if you are getting coffee and donuts Fairway Creamery would not be your best bet because the line will most likely be very long and not fast. Overall I would give the Fairway Creamery a 7 out of 10 for its variety of options from donuts, to hot or cold coffee, and ice cream. The location is perfect because it is inside a neighborhood that allows for families and friends to all meet in one area and hang out.

Dunkin’ Donuts. Dunkin’ Donuts has a lot to offer for being known as a donut shop. They offer many sandwiches such as sausage, egg and cheese, bacon, egg and cheese, turkey and sausage, ham, egg and cheese and many more. They come on a croissant, tortilla or a muffin. My favorite is the bacon, egg, and cheese because it gave me a variety of breakfast items all in one sandwich! Not only do they offer donuts and sandwiches but they also offer crazy fun drinks like Hershey’s cookie and cream and Heath bar cappuccinos. If you do not feel like paying the full price for a latte or cappuccino then come in between 2 to 6 pm and you will be able to get a medium latte or cappuccino for just $2! They also offer a rewards app so you are able to get perks for donuts, sandwiches and drinks for a less price! Let us say you are at home and you are feeling a little under the weather and feel like a donut and a coffee. Your coffee maker is broken or you do not have any beans and you have not a clue how to make donuts. You decide to get food delivered to you but you do not know where from so you pull up the grub hub app and look at the places that you can get delivered and see Dunkin’ Donuts. Yes that is right they deliver right to your front door. Now you have gotten some food and a coffee and you are feeling a little bit better and can actually start your day! Overall I would give Dunkin’ Donuts a 8 out of 10 stars for the quality of food, the service and the fact that you can get them delivered right to your door!

Let’s say you are on the road or on your way to school and are crunched for time, your hungry and thirsty but you do not know where to stop. You pass by a McDonalds and a First Watch and know that you do not have enough time for either of those places. Then down the street you notice a Quik Trip. You know that you can make a fast stop there for some food and a drink. You roll in and see an assortment of donuts from original glazed to chocolate glazed sprinkles. You do not have much time so you grab an original glazed and a long john sprinkles. Then you think that you will need something to drink so you go over to the drink selection and think about a Gatorate but decide on an iced coffee. You then quickly run to the cash register and then dash out the door and to your car and make it to your destination on time. Quik Trip is a great place to get donuts and other snacks and drinks. Whether your in a rush or just casually taking your time to get to your destination. They also offer gas! So if your in a hurry and hungry at the same time you can make one stop and knock both of the to do tasks off your list all on your way to your destination! Getting to your destination on time is critical and the Quik Trip employees know that, they will always have two registers going at once so you only have to spend 45 seconds at the cash register, and they will always tell you to have a nice day. All in all I would give Quik Trip donuts a 7 out of 10 stars for their donuts.

Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck Donuts! Duck Donuts is located on 95th and Mission Road in Leawood, Kansas. Duck Donuts is not your average donut shop, they take donuts to a new level with all kinds of different flavors from Citrus Pop to Ice cream sandwich. Duck Donuts is not a place where you are able to go quick. The line is normally really long so plan to wait for at least 6 minuets. They also make their donuts fresh so expect a hot fresh donut when you get your order. Most of their donuts are bite size so consider getting a couple if you are really hungry for some donuts. But I will warn you that their donuts are very sweet so you may not eat as many as you think you could. If you are a coffee fanatic you have come to the right place because they have hot coffee, iced coffee and espresso. They also offer delicious iced tea for a nice summer treat and hot chocolate for a cold winter day. If you are looking to cater coffee they offer a box of coffee. They offer a light-roast Lighthouse Blend, a dark roast Riptide Roast, a decaf Sunset Pier, and a  rotating seasonal coffee roast. My favorite coffee from Duck Donuts is the dark roast Riptide Roast and my favorite donut is the patriotic pop. They also offer ice cream so in the summer if you are not craving a donut you are able to get some ice cream to satisfy your sweet tooth. Their sundays have a donut and a scoop of ice cream with toppings which are relevant to the donut that you choose. Overall I would give Duck Donuts a 7 out of 10 stars because of its dedication to making their donuts taste the best they can.

Donutology is a donut shop in Westport in Kansas City.  Donutology is not like Krispy Kreme, they have extravagant donuts. You may be thinking to yourself what makes this different than other donut shops. Donutology offers a variety of donut flavors but they are not a large, normal sized donut. They are smaller so you can try many different flavors like sweet bacon o’ mine, fruit puff, PB2, s’mores and many, many more. Not only do they serve donuts but they also have a plethora of smoothies and coffees. Some coffees they have are coffee with espresso, latte or cappuccino, and the Americano which is an espresso with water. Not a coffee type? That is okay because you can order one of their delicious donut milkshakes or have a class of shatto milk. Or you can get a mango, strawberry, or strawberry banana smoothie. If your all about style donutology also offers merch which you are for both men and women. You can rep their donut name or Kansas City with a donut! If your looking to feed your whole neighborhood or the whole office they have you covered! You can have them catered with many different options to choose from. Option one is paying $5 for each guest you have and each get three donuts with their own choice of toppings and icings. Option two is you also get three donuts but they are iced by a donutology donutician and then the guest gets to decorate their donut with toppings at their own table. You can also get classic donuts but they are the same price as the donuts on the regular menu. You can also custom letter donuts with icing or sprinkles. Donutology is a great place if your looking to not have to buy a dozen donuts and always have some left over.

FLUFFY FRESH!!!! Their donuts are extremely fresh! They claim to be making the best donuts in Kansas City since 1959. Located at 10123 State Line Rd. Kansas City, Missouri they are in the heart of Kansas City. Not only do they claim to have the best donuts, they have received an award! In August of 2018 Fluffy Fresh was awarded the award of Best Of KC. Their donuts are Legendary! If your thinking about stopping by Fluffy Fresh you better wake up extra early because they open at 5 and close at 2, that is if they do not run out of donuts before then! If you manage to get into line and get some donuts you are a special person for the day, do not waste this opportunity and get as many as you think you will want because after that first bite you will want so many more! In my opinion the original glazed donut is better than the rest of their selection but it does not hurt to try different things! Unlike the other donut shops they do not offer wild smoothies and donut milkshakes. If you plan on stopping in at Fluffy Fresh make sure you have cash in hand because they do not accept any other form of payment. IF you stop in on a monday and buy one donut you get a free medium coffee! I think that is a pretty good deal considering your going to LOVE their donuts! If you are not one that likes to push around to get to the front of the line, maybe wait till later i the morning to see if you can get some of the donuts that are older for that day. You will NOT regret getting Fluffy Fresh and getting up an hour early!

Hurts Doughnuts. Does it hurt? Other than it hurting your new year’s resolution of dieting it does not hurt one bit! Hurts Doughnuts is a new doughnut chain that recently found itself in the Kansas City area. Hurts Doughnuts offers a variety of doughnuts. Whether you are looking for a classic glazed doughnut or a new, s’mores doughnut. When I first stepped into Hurts Doughnuts I planned on getting a glazed doughnut, but once I got lost in the different funky doughnuts they offered I could not help myself to try their different doughnuts! When you step foot into Hurts you will expect to only eat one doughnut and maybe will only order one doughnut, but once you finish your first one you will end up back in line getting another doughnut. If you are an early riser or a midnight shift supervisor you are guaranteed doughnuts from Hurts Doughnuts no matter what time of day with their 24 hours 7 days a week 365 days a year hours. Yes you heard me right, Hurts Doughnuts is open 24 hours a day! No matter what time of day you show up at Hurts there will always be a smiling face ready to take your order. Unlike other restaurants they never close so you are never the customer that shows up 2 minutes before they close! Like many other doughnut places Hurts offers a variety of coffees and sodas, not to mention their strawberry and chocolate milk! Not only do they have a store but they also cater big events. With their retired ambulance, they have turned into a doughnut truck! But after you get Hurts to cater, you may be in an actual ambulance with all the doughnuts you can eat! Hurts Doughnuts is for the average doughnut enthusiast and also the die heart doughnut fans!

If you are looking for a way to break your diet. then Krispy Kreme is the perfect place. When I hear “let’s get doughnuts” I immediately think of Krispy Kreme. From waking up on a Sunday morning having a dozen of doughnuts wait for me and my brother before Mass to hitting the road early in the morning for a road trip and making a quick stop at Krispy Kreme. Krispy Kreme has a variety of doughnuts which are all very sweet. They have iced, glazed, filled, cake, and chocolate donuts. Which will all give you the sugar rush that you are looking for. Some donuts are seasonal. During the next couple weeks their specials are strawberry, pineapple and lime. The strawberry is my favorite, it gives you a sweet strawberry flavor, although it is not an organic strawberry flavor it still gives a sweet strawberry taste. If you are looking for a way to break your diet Krispy Kreme will definitely help you. Once you walk into the establishment you will immediately be asked if you want a free doughnut. With the hours of 5:30-10 you can fulfill your sugar cravings any time of the day. Although they are known for doughnuts, that is not all they serve. They also have amazing drinks, like coffees of any sort from hot coffee to frozen caramel, vanilla and mocha. They also have frozen lemonade and strawberry lemonade. If you end up loving the hot coffee but can not make it to a Krispy Kreme every morning for your daily coffee then you can pick up some of their K-Cups for at home use! Krispy Kreme is not only for the summer, if you roll up in the middle of winter you will be able to get yourself some hot fresh doughnuts along with some nice hot chocolate with whipped cream! For me, Krispy Kreme is definitely the go to place for a breakfast treat.
